The CO-OP

by Gabriel Fogarty-Graveson and Felix Grainger
devised and directed by Make It Beautiful Theatre produced by Camille Koosyial

Welcome to The CO-OP. The dysfunctional acting agency, run by three nobodies, that you’ll never want to leave. After Jimmy and Caza watch their best friend leave the agency, it all seems to be over. But can exciting and talented Charlie be the answer to their woes? Or will the secrets beneath The CO-OP be revealed?

Using popular music and film genres, this play is a love letter to theatre and film, brought to life by a bunch of rejects. After successful runs at the Waterloo East Theatre, the White Bear, the Bread and Roses & the OSO Arts Centre, this 5 Star show is now back by popular demand!

Press for this production

This production is a force to be reckoned with…The cast has great chemistry, bouncing off each other well, lifting the play and maintaining its high energy throughout. The well-written script moves along at pace, and it’s very, very funny (I laughed out loud the whole way through)… The CO-OP is an insight into the brutal world of acting, the disappointment of auditions and its cut-throat process. I’m finding it hard to fault Make it Beautiful Theatre’s debut production and am already looking forward to their next one. ★★★★★ Everything Theatre

Another stand out aspect is the acting within the acting of the play…We can see how passionate they are about performing and it’s undeniably sad that they are just stuck in a small run down office performing for each other.  In this play, I felt seen and understood, as I dare say many in the theatre and film business would. The writing team are very clever to pay homage to the industry instead of bashing it; it is done in a tasteful and creative way that is to be admired. ★★★★★ Within Her Words

it’s a hoot, and I am quite sure many elements of the story will be very relatable to the company’s fellow actors out there… an insightful, witty and briskly paced production that maintains the audience’s interest from beginning to end. ★★★★ London Theatre 1

Entertaining and hilarious… One to watch  ★★★★ Theatre Reviews UK
