The Bastard Sons of a Small Town Elvis
written and directed by Tim French
presented by Bo-Diddling productions
There’s one like him in every town, with their hair, their clothes, the walk and the talk. The Elvis wannabes.”
Best mates, Danny and Billy, are on a quest to meet and confront the father Danny has never met, after receiving a cryptic invite to a rock & roll event where he is performing. Danny’s father, John, considers himself a rock & roll artiste; a reckless rocker who loved and promptly left Danny’s mum.
On the night of the gig and planned reunion, Danny and Billy get far more than they had bargained for. Mistaken identities, miscommunication, and rock and roll ensues.
This new musical is a fast-paced and light-hearted look at individual and parental responsibilities, as well as what one is compelled to do in order to satisfy the dream. Bolstered with original rock & roll numbers performed by a live band, The Bastard Sons of a Small Town Elvis promises a rollicking good time.
