Woodhouse&Roderick presents Scratchy Scratch II
W&R invite you to join them and some special guests at The Jack Studio for one night only for a scribbly scratchy night of new writing, poetry and dance to raise money for their production of In His Words later this year.
Phil by Jacob Baker: a brilliantly awkward and offbeat stand-up routine that begins with a painful first date veering into a surreal sexual encounter.
F**king for Justice by Hanna Hirst: a fearless blend of comedy, autobiography and political commentary, F**king for Justice explores the intersections of love, sex and ideology.
She Must’ve Known by TJ Roderick: inspired by one of Britain’s most infamous criminal cases, She Must’ve Known reflects on the childhood of Rose West shaped by domestic abuse, coercive control and the culture of silence that allowed violence to go unseen. Performed by Alice Gold.
Selected Poems by Shannon Payne: a small collection of poetry that explores themes of childhood trauma and how it shapes identity, reflections on growth and self love journeys.
In His Words by Heather Woodhouse: an exciting excerpt from Woodhouse&Roderick’s upcoming show following Esther who upon getting the lead in a new piece of theatre, finds out the play is written about her.. by her ex!
