My Mind Matters
produced by Broken Hearted Youth
“Is it safe to come out now?”
Broken Hearted Youth presents My Mind Matters, an evening of monologues, music and spoken word by young writers and performers who have graduated from the company’s SEARCH PARTY community initiative.
For the past two years Broken Hearted Youth have been working locally with young people to write and perform monologues on the subject of mental health. The young people you’ll see have been working with the company throughout the various lockdowns on honing their creative voice.
We promise a unique opportunity to witness the next generation of local stage and screen talent.
If you want an insight into how young people think and feel in this century, we welcome you with open arms.
Broken Hearted Youth is a film and theatre company based in Lewisham. We believe in collaborating with young people on work that provokes a wider social conversation, whilst bridging the growing gap between access to education and the arts.
#MyMindMatters is supported by Lewisham’s Creative Enterprise Zone and SHAPESLewisham. We are proud to partner with The Jack Studio Theatre to bring live performance back into the local area.
