CONNECT started at the Jack Studio in May 2020 when we received an ACE emergency grant to support the project. The project brings together theatre writers, directors and performers, associated with the Jack Studio, to collaborate with filmmakers and editors. CONNECT was a way of finding new stories and continuing to create at this time.
The Jack’s spaces are the backdrop for the project. The shorts take you into the rehearsal room, theatre, foyer, stairs and pub garden, and the writers took their inspiration from these spaces.
In September 2020, it was amazing to watch the theatre in action again and see the energy and talent that the different artists brought to the project. A very big thank you to everyone involved! We hope to see you back with us for live events next year.
