Programming at the Jack Studio
- We’re keen to welcome new companies to the Jack, with ambitious ideas and great stories to tell
- Throughout the year we programme a diverse mix of productions, providing a platform for new writing, innovative revivals of classic texts and musical theatre
- We typically programme one to four-week runs. On occasion we may consider shorter runs.
- We’re happy to arrange a time for interested companies to visit the theatre to discuss your production proposal
- Due to the number of enquiries we receive, we aim to respond to you within four weeks. Please note, we do not give feedback on unsolicited scripts or on productions we are unable to programme

We’re here to help you bring your production to life.
What We Offer
Companies who bring their work to the theatre are offered:
- A week’s free rehearsal space in our spacious and well equipped rehearsal room for companies performing for a week (five performances) or more at the Jack
- Further rehearsal dates at a highly discounted rate (£40 a day for companies of 5 and under, £50 a day for companies of 6 or more)
- Marketing support – we create and distibute your press release and listings, and invite press to review your show
- We send regular e-shots to our mailing list and create social media posts for your production
- We provide practical advice on how to realise your project
- Companies have free use of the Jack’s props and costume store, and all of the Jack’s extensive technical equipment
- The Jack has a very competitive hire fee, or we can offer box office splits for productions

What we need
With your enquiry, please send on the following information to us:
- The title of your production and an outline of your preferred dates and proposed length of run
- Company details and any reviews / production images of past productions, where possible
- A copy of the script if it is a new play

Availability in 2026 and 2027
We’re fully programmed in 2026 and into Jan and Feb 2027, we then have availability from:
